How to make a carpet from fabric scraps

You will need:
  1. Jute in size 84cmx54cm, 
  2. Scraps of spandex, 
  3. Scissors, 
  4. Toothpick, 
  5. Needle, 
  6. Line 
  7. Rectangular mold of cardboard with 10cmx2cm(you can choose other size).

It is really easy to make, just follow the steps. :)


1º Step


Baste around the jute so that rug don't come apart.

 2º Step

After basted, looks like this.
3º Step

 

Use the cardboard template with 10cmx2cm to cut the flaps of fabric elastane.
4º Step



Use the toothpick to press the fabric of jute in the gaps.5º Step


Press until the tip of elastane appear across the jute.6º StepPull half of elastane to the back of jute.

7º Step



Pass again the strip of elastane three squares horizontally after the initial hole.8º Step


Make sure that everything is correct.9º Step


Tie a knot.
10º Step



Do it again with a distance of three holes of the previous and so on.
11º Step

In the Back.

At some point, will be like this.
In the Front.

As you are making bows, you are plugging the gaps.

In the end.

P.S. I think this would be just perfect in a bedroom with grey decorations as I showed you before or in a living room.
